Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
